Meet the Doctors
Dr. Flaherty Dr. Flaherty grew up in Asheville, graduated from Asheville High School, and attended the University of North Carolina where he received bachelor degrees in both chemistry and literature. Upon graduating from the UNC dental school in 1979, he joined Dr. Robert H. Owen in dental practice. Dr. Flaherty has served as president of the Buncombe County Dental Society, as president of the First District of the North Carolina Dental Society, as well as other professional, church, and civic committees and boards. Dr. Flaherty and his wife, Darlene, have two children: Brooke, a graduate of UNC with a degree in public relations, and Trey, who is currently a UNC student.
Dr. Stacey Dr. Stacey, a native of Boone, was accepted to the UNC School of Dentistry after just three years of undergraduate studies in Chapel Hill. He graduated, with honors, from the dental school in 1998 and entered the US Navy, commissioned as a lieutenant. His tours of duty included a year-long residency in advanced general dentistry in Jacksonville, Florida, two years at the US Naval Station at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and one year at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He and his wife, Kim, have three children: Ethan, Alec, and Olivia.

Financial Policy Payment is expected when services are rendered. However, we realize sometimes quality dental care is an unplanned expense. Because of this, we are pleased to offer interest free and low interest payment plans through a third party lender called Care Credit so that you can make payments that better fit into your lifestyle. We are also happy to file insurance at no charge to our patients.
